Whatever mystery was left around Google’s next smartwatch is pretty much gone now. Steve Hemmerstoffer, the leaker known as OnLeaks, just published high-resolution renders of the Pixel Watch 5.
They show both case sizes and what’s claimed to be every color option, all ahead of Google’s expected launch event on August 12. TheTideChart.com published the images alongside him.

If these renders hold up, Google isn’t changing much this time around. The domed display makes another appearance, and so does the brand’s proprietary band system.
Google Pixel Watch 5 Design
Based on the photos, barely anything’s different. The rounded, pebble-shaped design Google’s known for is still here, right down to the charging contacts on the side, which look the same as before.
The lug design looks the same as before, so your existing bands should still fit. The charging connector also appears unchanged, which hints that Pixel Watch 4 chargers might work here too. Google hasn’t confirmed either point yet, so hold off on clearing space in your cable drawer for now.

The renders point to two case sizes, 41mm and 45mm, available in Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, and Pyrite. Warm Gold only shows up on the smaller 41mm case, paired with a coral band. There’s no 45mm version in the images, but that doesn’t mean it won’t show up once the watch actually launches.
Sticking with a familiar design isn’t really a problem here; the current look still stands out from other smartwatches. That said, if you were hoping the fifth Pixel Watch would finally break away from that glossy, pebble-like shape, it looks like you’re getting another year of small tweaks instead.
What might be different in the Google Pixel Watch 5
The real changes might be happening under the hood. FCC filings linked to four possible Pixel Watch 5 models reportedly confirm both Wi-Fi and LTE versions are coming. Those same filings suggest support for Wi-Fi 6 and ultra-wideband, and cellular models could keep satellite SOS as well.

There’s also talk of bigger batteries and a new Tensor chip built specifically for wearables, though neither has been confirmed independently yet. Based on what’s out there so far, this looks like a steady upgrade rather than a complete redesign.
What’s the price going to be
That safe design might come at a cost. Retail rumors have the 41mm Wi-Fi model priced at $399, a $50 jump over the Pixel Watch 4. Go for the largest LTE version, and the price could climb as high as $529.

Google is expected to unveil the watch on August 12, with preorders possibly opening the next day and a wider launch rumored for August 20. Until Google actually confirms any of this, remember the design looks solid, but the specs, pricing, and release dates are still just leaks for now.
