Razer just introduced the Prio, a mobile gaming controller built around a simple idea: your phone already goes everywhere with you, so your controller should fit that same routine.
Everyone’s had those moments, sitting in a waiting room, killing time between classes, staring at a phone screen with nothing to do. Razer wants those dead stretches of time to turn into actual gaming sessions, and it wants to do that without making you haul around a big, clunky controller.

The whole point of the Prio comes down to how it folds. Collapsed, it’s small enough to slip into your pocket without you even feeling it there. Unfold it, and it twists open into a full-size controller, one that fits phones up to 7 inches, so it covers big screens like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
You don’t need to dig up a charging cable or go through any setup steps. Pull it out, twist it open, clip your phone in, and you’re already playing.

Once you unfold it, the Prio gives you a full controller setup: two thumbsticks, a 4-way D-pad, face buttons, bumpers, and triggers. Razer says the thumbsticks use capacitive sensing to cut down on drift, even on a bumpy bus ride, and the face buttons feel tactile but stay quiet, so you can game on public transit or in a waiting room without drawing attention. There’s also a dedicated Razer Cortex Mobile button that takes you straight into your game library.

The Prio works with both iPhone and Android, and Razer designed it to fit around most phone cases, so you won’t need to pull your phone out of its case just to use it. It also supports cloud gaming and remote play, which means you can stream games from your PC, console, or the cloud straight to your phone.
Razer is pitching the Prio as something you grab during small gaps in your day, like the break between classes or a slow stretch in a waiting room. Whether it ends up as your main controller or just a fun thing to keep in your pocket, turning five spare minutes into real gaming is a hard idea to dislike.
