Marshall just refreshed two of its most popular wireless speakers. The company officially unveiled the Acton IV and Stanmore IV, and the upgrades go well beyond louder volume.
You get better bass and cleaner sound, but Marshall also pushes toward repairability. You can now replace several external parts instead of tossing the whole speaker.

Marshall Action IV Sound and Design
Both speakers get new tweeters, redesigned internal acoustics, and new bass ports. Marshall says this gives you cleaner vocals, wider sound spread, and stronger low frequencies. The Acton IV packs a 4-inch woofer with two tweeters. The Stanmore IV steps up to a 5-inch woofer, built for bigger rooms and deeper bass.

Both models include Dynamic Loudness. This feature adjusts the tonal balance as you change the volume, so your music keeps its character even at lower levels.
Marshall added a few practical upgrades too. Placement Compensation optimizes sound based on where you put the speaker. Bluetooth LE Audio with Auracast support lets you broadcast audio to multiple compatible speakers at once.
The Stanmore IV keeps HDMI ARC, so it works as a TV speaker too. Marshall’s app lets you fine-tune the EQ, manage speaker placement, and get future software updates. The physical design changed too. The power cable now exits from the bottom instead of the back, so both speakers sit flush against a wall.
The bigger change matters more. You can now replace the front grille, control knobs, and speaker feet if they get damaged. This extends the life of your speaker instead of forcing you to buy a new one.
Marshall Acton IV Connectivity
Both speakers support Bluetooth Auracast. You can sync music across multiple compatible speakers at once. They also work with Marshall’s Heddon Wi-Fi streaming hub. This lets you stream directly from Spotify Connect and TIDAL without a phone. Apple Music still needs a connected smartphone for playback.

The Acton IV costs $299.99. The Stanmore IV costs $399.99. Marshall sells both now. Most speaker upgrades focus only on audio quality. Marshall also thought about how long these speakers last. Better bass matters, sure. But easier repairs might matter more over time.
