The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is now on sale worldwide, so it makes sense to see how it stacks up against the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

For most people, the choice will come down to whether you already live in the Android or iOS ecosystem. Even so, it is worth looking at what actually sets the two phones apart.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max vs iPhone 18 Pro Max: Price and Availability

Both the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max and the iPhone 18 Pro Max are expensive phones. The Find X10 Pro Max costs more, with a recommended retail price of £1,499.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at £/$1,299. That is a bit lower, but it is still a lot of money.

MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro vs A20 Pro

The Find X10 Pro Max runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro. Oppo says the chip handles demanding tasks, processing, and on-device AI while saving energy.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max uses Apple’s A20 Pro chip, and MediaTek has a lot to live up to. We found the A20 Pro gave the iPhone a performance that is hard to fault, whether we were gaming or running AI requests. Its build also stretches battery life to levels we have not seen on an iPhone in a long time.

We have reviewed the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max, so read to see how the Dimensity 9600 Pro compares.

Find X10 Pro Max’s rear cameras are 200MP

Both phones have three rear cameras, but the resolution differs. All three lenses on the Find X10 Pro Max are 200MP. All three on the iPhone 18 Pro Max are 48MP.

That gap looks big on paper, but the iPhone 18 Pro Max impressed us in practice. We found it a fantastic choice if you want reliably good photos without much effort.

One of the biggest camera upgrades this year is the variable aperture on the iPhone’s main lens. It lets you change how much light reaches the sensor. This is a first for an iPhone. It probably should not be the reason you spend the money, but it works well.

The Find X10 Pro has plenty of its own tricks. Oppo developed its lenses with Hasselblad, and they support 8K video recording at every focal length, 4K Dolby Vision, and up to 5x slow motion.

Last year’s Oppo Find X9 Ultra is on our best camera phones list right now, so we have high hopes for the Find X10 Pro.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max with the Larger Battery

We should say up front that the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s battery capacity is unknown. Apple only promises up to 29 hours of typical use on a single charge.

Oppo has confirmed that the Find X10 Pro Max has a large 7150mAh cell, one of the biggest we have seen in any smartphone. That should give you at least a full day of use, and it may stretch to two.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Teleconverter Lens Compatibility

The Hasselblad teleconverter lens is a separate purchase for the Find X10 Pro Max, and it lets you get closer to the action. Oppo redesigned it compared with last year’s version. It changes the telephoto camera’s default zoom to 10x, and lossless cropping reaches up to 40x. The lens also has OIS and EIS, and Oppo says it keeps detail and natural skin tones intact.

Oppo AI vs Apple Intelligence

Both phones come with their own AI toolkits, as you would expect from a 2026 flagship. Apple Intelligence gets upgrades and new additions with iOS 27, including Siri AI, which we find works better than the older version. Even so, the toolkit should not be your reason to upgrade to an iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The Find X10 Pro Max uses Oppo AI instead. It includes the usual set of AI-powered tools, such as translation and writing tools, along with Google’s Gemini.

Oppo Find X10 Pro Max vs iPhone 18 Pro Max Early Verdict

Setting aside the ecosystem question, a few things should guide your choice. The Find X10 Pro Max gives you three 200MP cameras, a larger battery, and support for the teleconverter lens. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is a very powerful phone with an easy, reliable camera setup that most people will struggle to fault.
