Garmin just threw its hat back into the screenless fitness tracker ring, and it’s doing it with a smart move. The new CIRQA Smart Band launched at $199.99, and it packs 10 days of battery life into a device with no screen at all.

You get round-the-clock health tracking plus support for over 80 activity types, but every chart, score, and workout recap lives inside the Garmin Connect app instead of on your wrist. And here’s the part that stands out: Garmin isn’t locking any of this behind a subscription. What you see is what you get, no extra monthly fee required.
Garmin CIRQA Smart Band: The Garmin Fitness Ecosystem
Under the hood, CIRQA relies on a full sensor stack: heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, and motion. Together they keep tabs on you day and night, logging steps, calories, stress levels, naps, sleep quality, and even menstrual cycles. It also recognizes a lot of activities automatically, so you don’t have to start tracking manually every time you move.

Garmin didn’t strip out the tools longtime users rely on either. Body Battery, Lifestyle Logging, and Garmin Coach all made the cut.
There’s also a smart alarm that buzzes during a lighter sleep phase, sometime within 30 minutes of your set wake-up time, so mornings feel less jarring. The band pairs with both iPhone and Android, and you can pick from two sizes in black, blue, beige, or red.
One thing worth flagging: CIRQA skips built-in GPS. If you want route, distance, or pace data, you’ll need your phone along for the ride.
Garmin CIRQA Smart Band Price
Google jumped into the same screenless space with Fitbit Air, priced at $99.99, half of what CIRQA costs. It’s also display-free, and tracks heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature changes, sleep, and exercise it picks up on its own. Battery life tops out around seven days, three days short of CIRQA.

Here’s where the pricing story gets interesting. Fitbit Air works fine without paying anything extra, but Google holds back its Gemini-powered Health Coach and a handful of guided features for subscribers only; that’s a $9.99 monthly charge through Google Health Premium. Garmin skips that model entirely.
CIRQA gives you established training tools and over 80 activity types, all included at purchase, no ongoing fee attached.
Then you’ve got Whoop 5.0 sitting on the other end of the spectrum. Its Strain, Recovery, and Sleep breakdowns only work with an active membership. We liked what Whoop delivered but noted the recurring cost makes it a tougher sell for anyone who isn’t training seriously.
Put the three side by side, and CIRQA lands right in the middle, more capable than Fitbit Air’s simple approach, less demanding than Whoop’s subscription-locked, athlete-focused system.
