The idea of adding a touchscreen on a mouse is not new. Turtle Beach already did it with the Command Series MC7, which has a 2.25-inch control screen.

Arctic Fox Technologies apparently decided that was not ridiculous enough. Its new Super Mouse looks like someone took the chunky old Atari ST mouse, added a touchscreen and a scroll wheel, and called it an upgrade.

The result is an unusual-looking mouse that is now on Kickstarter, starting at $199. It looks absurd, but some of its features are genuinely interesting.

Arctic Fox Super Mouse is a keyboard on your mouse

The Super Mouse has a 3.1-inch touchscreen with a 720 x 720 resolution. One tap can launch apps, run shortcuts, or trigger a whole workflow.

The controls also change on their own depending on which application you are using. I can see that helping designers who bounce between Photoshop, Figma, and other creative software all day.

If you think that is not enough crammed into one mouse, Arctic Fox also turned the screen into a full on-screen keyboard with swipe typing. It offers voice dictation in more than 90 languages, and the company says the processing happens locally.

The screen can double as a multi-touch trackpad, so you do not have to keep moving your wrist to steer the cursor.

There are also built-in motion sensors that let you trigger controls by tilting or twisting the mouse. It also has physical Hyper Keys for macros. You handle all of the customization through the Flow app on Windows and macOS.

Would you want to use the Arctic Fox Super Mouse?

The question is whether stopping to tap a screen on your mouse is actually faster than using a regular keyboard shortcut. The boxy shape raises ergonomic concerns, although Arctic Fox says the design keeps your palm away from the screen and prevents accidental touches.

The strangest omission on such a feature-packed “futuristic” mouse is wireless support. It connects only through a USB-C cable.

The Kickstarter campaign offers early units for $199. The planned retail price is $249, and deliveries are targeted for February 2027. Whether it makes anyone more productive remains to be seen. At the time of writing, the mouse already has 85 backers who are eager to try the concept.
