Samsung appears to be playing it safe with the Galaxy Tab S12 lineup, keeping changes fairly modest this generation. According to WinFuture, official data sheets for the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra have surfaced, laying out nearly the full spec sheet before Samsung even announces the tablets.
The processor stands out as the main change. Both models reportedly run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, marking the third straight generation where Samsung’s flagship tablets rely on MediaTek chips rather than Qualcomm or Samsung’s own silicon.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra used the Dimensity 9300+, and the Tab S11 Ultra ran the Dimensity 9400+. Samsung is also bringing the Plus model back after skipping it last generation, though the standard Galaxy Tab S12 seems to be gone entirely. That leaves just two options this time: the 12.6-inch Tab S12+ and the 14.6-inch Tab S12 Ultra.

The Tab S12 Ultra reportedly sticks with the same setup as before: a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, an 11,600mAh battery, and 45W charging. Those numbers had already leaked earlier, and WinFuture’s data now lines up with what was previously reported.

Camera specs stay put too. The Ultra keeps a 13MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 12MP front camera, while the Tab S12+ loses the ultrawide lens. Both models offer 12GB of RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, and the Ultra adds a higher-end option with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. MicroSD expansion carries over as well.
The Tab S12+ does get one real upgrade worth mentioning. Its battery grows to 10,600mAh, and the tablet reportedly gets lighter too, dropping to 555 grams.

The Dimensity 9500 already showed up in a Geekbench listing linked to the Tab S12 Ultra, and that early result only showed a modest CPU bump over the Tab S11 Ultra. Worth remembering, though, that unfinished hardware rarely reflects how a chip performs once it ships.

Samsung sticking with MediaTek again says something too. Earlier testing suggests the Dimensity 9500 trades away some peak CPU power in exchange for better sustained performance, more stable thermals, and a stronger on-device AI processor. That trade-off actually makes sense for a large tablet built around multitasking, gaming, and creative work.
According to WinFuture, the Galaxy Tab S12 series launches October 7, running Android 17 with One UI 9 on top. European pricing reportedly starts at €1,299 for the Tab S12+ and climbs to €1,539 for the Ultra.
Samsung has already signaled that rising memory and component costs could push future device prices up further. If these leaked specs hold, the Dimensity 9500 might end up doing most of the work in convincing buyers to choose the new model over last generation’s tablet at a lower price.
