Amazon is rebuilding its tablet lineup from the ground up. Until now, the company has only sold Fire tablets. They came with modest hardware, and they ran on software tied to Amazon’s own app store.
That changes in 2026. Amazon has introduced a new family of Alexa tablets, and it announced three models today: the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, the Alexa Tablet 11, and the Alexa Tablet 8.
Alexa Tablet 12 Pro Features
The Alexa Tablet 12 Pro sits at the top of Amazon’s new lineup. It has a slim metallic body and a 12-inch display that refreshes at 120Hz. The screen has a matte, anti-glare finish, and the tablet supports a stylus.

Inside, it runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chip and comes in two configurations. The top one offers 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. You also get Dolby Atmos speakers, and Amazon sells a matching keyboard case.

Amazon calls the screen finish Nanomatte. The company worked with Corning on a photolithography process that etches a texture into the glass, lined up with the pixels at the sub-pixel level. Most matte screens get their finish from sandblasting, which scatters light unevenly. Amazon says its method cuts glare while keeping detail and color accurate.
What do the Alexa Tablet 11 and Tablet 8 offer?
The Alexa Tablet 12 Pro starts at $499.99 for the base model, which has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The version with the Nanomatte display costs $549.99 with the same memory and storage. You can order it now, and shipping in the US starts October 14.
The two smaller models cost less. The Alexa Tablet 11 sells for $329.99, and the Alexa Tablet 8 sells for $229.99.
