Samsung has built out nearly every corner of the audio market at this point, Galaxy Buds, speakers, soundbars, even the unusual Music Frame. One thing has stayed noticeably absent from that lineup, though: over-ear wireless headphones. That gap might not last much longer.
SamMobile reports that Samsung is working on a pair of wireless headphones internally called the Galaxy H1. The evidence turned up in code strings buried inside the Galaxy Wearable app, along with early illustrations hinting at what the product might look like.
Support showing up in Samsung’s companion app suggests these headphones will connect over Bluetooth, same as the rest of Samsung’s audio lineup.

Aside from that, Samsung’s actual plans remain pretty murky. There’s no confirmed release date, no pricing, and no spec sheet floating around yet, and the limited evidence available hints that these headphones could still be a ways off. SamMobile’s best guess puts a possible launch sometime in 2027.
Samsung And Over-ear Headphones
If this happens, it would mark Samsung’s first serious push into wireless headphones in years. The company’s last real attempt was the Level Over, an over-ear model from 2015 that came with active noise cancellation, NFC pairing, and up to 15 hours of battery life.

A lot has changed since then. Premium wireless headphones have grown into a genuinely competitive category, with Apple, Bose, and others fighting it out on noise cancellation, sound quality, comfort, and how well the headphones tie into their broader ecosystems.
Samsung already has good footing in wireless audio through Galaxy Buds. A full-size headphone would give the company another product to offer Galaxy users who want something more substantial than earbuds, particularly useful for long flights, working at a desk, or extended listening sessions.
The timing works in Samsung’s favor too, in a way. Rather than trying to build a market from nothing, the company would be stepping into one where buyers already understand what they want and have plenty of established options to compare against.
Galaxy H1 Could Compete With Apple’s Headphones
The big open question is where Samsung plans to slot the Galaxy H1 into the market. It could aim high and go after Apple’s AirPods Max 2 in the premium space, or it could target a more accessible price closer to Bose’s $300 QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen), or Nothing’s $300 Headphone 1.

That pricing decision will likely shape how seriously people take these headphones once they arrive. Go premium, and Samsung needs to offer something that stands apart from just another pair of Bluetooth headphones.
Price it more aggressively, and Samsung gets an easier path into a market that’s already crowded with strong options.
For now, pretty much everything beyond the name Galaxy H1 sits in speculation territory. Samsung hasn’t confirmed the product officially, and the leaked app references don’t point to any specific launch date.
If this does land in 2027, Samsung will have had over a decade to figure out exactly what a modern over-ear Galaxy headphone should look like.
