Motorola has big plans for its upcoming Signature 27 flagship. It reportedly brings a 12,000-nit Tandem OLED display, a 200-megapixel periscope camera and other top-tier hardware. The company also seems to be working on a second phone, and its name has not appeared in years.

A phone called the Moto One has shown up in certification and benchmark databases. Based on the leaked details, Motorola may be reviving its old smartphone line, and the specs look promising.
Motorola Moto One: Old name with new ambitions
Motorola launched the One series in 2018. At first, it promised a cleaner Android experience through Google’s Android One program.
The line later grew to include the One Vision, One Action and One Zoom, and each model tested a different hardware idea. Motorola dropped the branding after the One 5G models.

Now a Geekbench listing points to the new Moto One. It shows Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, 12GB of RAM and Android 16. The phone reportedly scored 2,109 in single-core and 8,586 in multi-core tests. Those numbers are not top of the line, but they point to solid hardware.
Motorola Moto One: Old design with great charging capabilities
Notebookcheck also found the phone in the Wireless Power Consortium database. The listing confirms Qi2 wireless charging.
It shows the Extended Power Profile, not the Magnetic Power Profile. The phone can charge wirelessly at up to 15W, but magnetic accessories would probably need a compatible case.

The design looks safe. Certification images show curved edges and a selfie camera cutout in the center of the screen. The back has a familiar square camera island with three lenses and an LED flash.
No other details have leaked yet. We do not know if Motorola is testing a new specialized concept with this Moto One or if it is a standard premium mid-range phone.
