Motorola is gearing up to launch a new phone in India, and it sits above the Edge 70 Pro in the lineup. The Edge 70 Pro+ has shown up on Flipkart with a “coming soon” tag, and the teaser page already hints at a noticeable camera bump compared to the recently released Edge 70 Pro.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Camera Features

The Flipkart listing reveals a dual 50MP camera setup, with one being the main shooter and the other a telephoto lens. The primary camera runs on a Sony Lytia 710 sensor and comes with optical image stabilization.

The telephoto is where things get more interesting. It is a 50MP periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and it covers four portrait focal lengths: 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. Motorola is also throwing in up to 50x AI zoom.

For anyone who bought into the Edge 70 Pro and felt shortchanged, this matters. That phone shipped with no telephoto camera at all, so the Pro+ fills a gap that many users likely noticed right away.

The Global Edge 70 Pro

The camera specs on the Pro+ line up almost exactly with the global Edge 70 Pro that Motorola released in Europe last month. Even the colors match. Two of the listed shades, Pantone Zinfandel and Pantone Chicory Coffee, are the same ones offered on the international version. That points to one likely conclusion: the Edge 70 Pro+ for India is probably just the global Edge 70 Pro sold under a different name.

Motorola has done this before. The company regularly takes its international models into India with minor tweaks, sometimes a name change, sometimes a spec adjustment.

The standard Edge 70 Pro is a good example of that pattern; it arrived in India with the telephoto camera removed, making it a noticeably lighter version of what global buyers got.

One color option does seem made for India specifically. Pantone Stormy Sea is a green-grey shade that does not appear on the global model, so Motorola may have added it for this market alone.

Beyond that, the full spec sheet is still unconfirmed. But if the Pro+ shares its bones with the global Edge 70 Pro, you can expect a 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, 90W wired fast charging, wireless charging support, and more RAM than what the Indian Edge 70 Pro currently offers. No launch date has been announced yet, so treat those specs as probable, not guaranteed.
