Motorola just launched the Motorola Signature 27, its newest ultra-premium phone, running Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, and a stronger emphasis on AI processing happening right on the device.
This marks the second generation of Motorola’s Signature lineup, and it comes with a new naming approach, using the final two digits of the upcoming year. Motorola is calling this its most advanced flagship yet, blending top-tier performance with premium build materials, strong photography, and AI features throughout.
Powering it all is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, which Motorola says improves on-device AI, gaming performance, camera processing, and overall connectivity. A six-antenna system rounds things out, built to speed up downloads and support cloud-based AI applications.
Motorola Signature 27 Performance
To keep that new chipset running smoothly under heavy workloads, Motorola built in something it calls ArcticMesh cooling. It combines diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh, and a redesigned 3D vapor chamber.
Motorola says this system is 40% larger than last generation’s, built specifically to manage heat during long AI sessions, gaming, and video recording.

AI plays a central role throughout the Signature 27. Google Gemini is baked in, including features that let you go from a simple prompt straight to an action across supported apps and services.
Gemini Omni takes prompts, photos, or existing footage and turns them into videos, while Lyria handles generating original music and soundtracks from scratch.
Motorola is also promising seven OS upgrades and up to seven years of security updates, though the company notes that actual support will vary depending on your market, carrier, and specific model.
Motorola Signature 27 Camera and Bang & Olufsen Audio
Camera work sits at the heart of the Signature 27’s pitch. You get a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
Motorola also added its Video Enhancement Engine, which uses AI to read scenes and adjust color tones on the fly while you’re recording. That pairs with 3.5-degree OIS hardware and Qualcomm’s image stabilization tech for smoother handheld footage.

This phone also marks Motorola’s first with Audio by Bang & Olufsen, the result of an ongoing multi-year partnership between the two companies.
On design, Motorola went with an aluminum frame featuring contoured edges, and the camera housing itself uses ceramic paired with brushed aluminum. Color options include PANTONE Coal Smoke with a Tactical Weave finish, and PANTONE Capulet Green with a textile-inspired look.
Altogether, the Signature 27 represents Motorola’s latest attempt to bring flagship-level chips, AI features, strong camera hardware, and luxury-inspired design together in one phone. Expect more specifications and region-specific details to surface as the launch gets closer.
