Power banks do one simple job well: keep your phone or gadgets charged when you’re away from an outlet. Every so often, though, a model shows up with something extra: built-in cables, magnetic charging, or even enough power to top off a laptop.

Belkin just took a different route entirely. The company launched its BoostCharge Pro Power Bank 10K with Motion Sensing Light in China, priced at 329 yuan, around $49.

Besides the standard stuff, a 10,000mAh battery and 45W USB-C charging, it comes with a pop-up LED lamp that switches on automatically when it senses movement nearby, handy for lighting up a hotel room, nightstand, or dark hallway.

Low battery or a dark room, Belkin solves both

When you’re not using the light, it folds flat into the back of the power bank, out of the way. Touch controls handle brightness adjustments and let you switch between lighting modes.

There’s also a motion sensor built in, so the light can turn on automatically without you fumbling around for a button in the dark. The whole setup feels intuitive from the first time you use it.

This power bank pulls double, even triple, duty. Use it as a bedside night light, a small fill light for video calls or photos, or flip on the flashing SOS mode as an emergency beacon. That’s a lot more range than you’d expect from a typical portable charger.

A small digital screen shows your remaining battery percentage and also houses the light controls. It comes in orange or blue, measures 118 x 60 x 32mm, and weighs 257 grams. It’s also cleared for air travel, so you can bring it along on flights without issues.

Charging performance still holds its own

The BoostCharge Pro comes with a braided USB-C cable that tucks neatly into the side of the unit, plus a second USB-C port sits right next to it. Either port can push out up to 45W and works with both USB Power Delivery and PPS. Plug in two devices at once, though, and that power splits into 30W and 15W channels instead.

That 45W ceiling puts it right on par with the Anker Nano Power Bank 10K, another compact option with a built-in cable and digital display. What sets Belkin’s version apart is the motion-sensing lamp, an unusual feature that gives it a real reason to earn a spot in your travel bag or on your nightstand.
