Amazon just knocked $50 off its own Fire HD 10, bringing the price down to $129.99.

That’s a real cut on Amazon’s 5 best-selling tablet, dropping from $179.99 down to $129.99. At that price, you are only paying $10 more for the 64GB model than you would for the 32GB version, which makes the storage upgrade basically a no-brainer.

Amazon typically saves its biggest discounts for Black Friday and Prime Day, and it rarely lets its own hardware sit this far below list price outside those events. If you’ve been eyeing this tablet, it’s worth grabbing before the price bounces back up.

Under the hood, Amazon says this generation runs 25% faster than the last one, thanks to an octa-core processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM. That extra power feeds into a 10.1-inch Full HD display packing over two million pixels, so video and browsing look sharp and bright.

Battery life holds up well too, rated for 13 hours of reading, browsing, or video, plenty to cover a long flight or a full day away from an outlet. When it does need topping up, the included 9W adapter gets it fully charged in under four hours, or about three hours if you spring for the optional 15W charger.

Storage starts at 32GB and goes up to 64GB, and a microSD card lets you expand that further, up to 1TB. The screen itself uses reinforced aluminosilicate glass, which Amazon claims is tested 2.7 times more durable than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, a genuinely useful detail if this tablet is headed into a school bag as often as it sits on a coffee table.

Amazon also sells a Made for Amazon Stylus Pen separately, which brings 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity for natural-feeling note-taking and sketching in apps like OneNote. On the software side, built-in AI tools can draft polished emails, summarize webpages, and generate custom wallpapers in a matter of seconds.

Prime members get Alexa+ thrown in at no extra cost, handling things like recipe searches or personalized recommendations with a tap or a spoken request. Parental controls through Amazon Kids come standard too, and the tablet itself is built using 12% recycled materials.

It’s available in Lilac and Ocean color options as well. At $129.99 instead of $179.99, the Fire HD 10 is one of the more justifiable tablet upgrades you can make right now.
