Samsung’s One UI 9 rollout in the US has started unevenly. Galaxy S26 Ultra owners on T-Mobile began receiving the stable Android 17 update last week, but Samsung has said very little about other models and carriers.
Samsung’s firmware pages now list stable One UI 9 builds for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra on T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and US Cellular.
The US firmware uses build number S94xUSQU4BZID and includes the September 5, 2026 security patch. Availability still varies by carrier. At the time of writing, AT&T and Verizon had no matching listings.

One UI 9 brings many new features. My FanCam can follow a person you pick in a recorded video and reframe the footage around them automatically.
Now Nudge shows contextual suggestions inside notifications and other parts of One UI, such as saving an address to Google Maps or entering reservation details. Interpreter also adds a conversation view, so you can scroll back through earlier translations while the conversation continues.

Samsung also focused on privacy. A new indicator appears whenever an app accesses your location, and Privacy Alerts use on-device AI to flag access to personal information that may not be necessary. Now Brief can also show security warnings when One UI detects malware, apps from unknown sources, or questionable permissions.
Samsung Health gets redesigned charts, customizable cards, cardio load tracking, a Fitness Index, and new heart-health insights. Bixby can now wake up when you raise the phone toward your mouth, and Samsung DeX makes it easier to move windows between desktops.
Samsung officially started the One UI 9 rollout on September 16, after it debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Fold 8, and Flip 8. The Galaxy S26 family is now joining in the US, though your carrier may still make you wait a bit longer.
