Motorola has unveiled a new smartwatch at CES, with the launch of its first book-style foldable phone and a new object tracker. The device is simply called the Moto Watch.
It was developed in partnership with Polar, a brand widely trusted by athletes and fitness professionals for serious, data-driven training tools. The collaboration is based on a clear focus on fitness accuracy rather than just basic smartwatch features.

What Makes The Moto Watch Stand Out?
Battery life is the headline feature of the Moto Watch. Motorola says the watch can last up to 13 days on a single charge. That alone puts it far ahead of many modern smartwatches, which often struggle to last more than one or two days.
Charging is also quick. Just five minutes plugged in is enough to deliver a full day of use. For anyone tired of constant charging, this alone makes the Moto Watch hard for them to ignore.
The partnership with Polar adds meaningful depth to the Moto Watch’s fitness features. One standout example is its smart calorie tracking. Instead of showing a single number, the system breaks down how much energy you burn during a workout and how many calories you use throughout the day.
It also highlights calorie burn targets while you are exercising, giving you a clearer idea of how hard you are pushing yourself.
The Activity Score feature in the Moto watch acts as a central dashboard for daily movement. It pulls together your exercise data and helps you understand how intense your activity has been. When the watch notices that you have been inactive for too long, it gently reminds you to get moving.
Other Features of the Moto Watch?
Sleep tracking is another area where the Moto Watch goes further. It provides a detailed sleep score, tracks recovery levels, and breaks your night into light, deep, and REM sleep stages. There is also a feature called Nightly Recharge, which shows how well your body recovered overnight.
This concept is similar to the sleep recovery insights found on the Apple Watch, providing users with a simple way to understand how ready they are for the day ahead.
Motorola describes Nightly Recharge as an overnight recovery measurement that shows how your body responds to stress. The idea is to help you adjust your training or daily routine based on how well you have recovered, instead of pushing through fatigue without clear feedback.
The Moto Watch is built for everyday use and tougher conditions. It carries an IP68 rating, which means it can handle dust and water exposure without issue. For outdoor activities, it relies on dual-band GPS to deliver more accurate location tracking.
On the hardware side, the watch features a 1.43-inch round OLED display. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, which guards against scratches and minor impacts.
Motorola has not shared pricing details yet, but the Moto Watch is set to go on sale on January 22. It will be available in a PANTONE Volcanic Ash finish through Motorola’s official online store.
