Marantz has added two new models to its lineup. These sit next to the AV 10/20 models and give you another way to build a strong surround sound system without losing what makes Marantz sound like Marantz.

The AV 30 is an 11.4-channel AV preamplifier. Inside, you get a dual-core SHARC DSP platform working with 32-bit DACs. This setup gives the unit enough power to process high-resolution stereo and every major immersive audio format: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, and Auro-3D.

On the video side, the AV 30 handles 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz through all seven HDMI inputs.

For room calibration, the unit comes with Audyssey MultEQ XT32 built in. If you want more control over your setup, especially with multiple subwoofers and speakers, you can add Dirac Live, Dirac Bass Control, or Dirac Active Room Treatment as optional upgrades.

Marantz built the AV 30 to work in different spaces. You can use it in a smaller media room or make it the center of a larger dedicated home theater. The system adapts to what you need.

The AMP 30 is a slim six-channel power amplifier that delivers 200 watts per channel when you run it into 8-ohm speakers. You get options with this amp. You can bridge the channels to push up to 400 watts per channel, or set it up for bi-amping to match different speaker configurations.

It accepts both XLR and RCA inputs. Marantz designed it to pair with the AV 30, but it also works well with the AV 10 or AV 20 if you already own one of those.

Both units follow Marantz’s current design language. You get the updated version of their porthole display and soft lighting on the sides. The AV 30 has a front panel that folds down to hide controls you don’t use often. They even put backlighting on the remote so you can see the buttons when the lights are off.

You get full streaming support with HEOS built in. The AV 30 works with Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready, AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth.

Like other Marantz reference models, both units go through Sound Master tuning. They build them at the Shirakawa Audio Works facility in Japan.

You can buy the Marantz AV 30 and AMP 30 now. Each one costs $4,000, and both come with a five-year warranty.
