Lenovo may be planning a significant design change for its Legion Go handheld gaming lineup. According to reports, the company is working on a version that functions as a Windows tablet with a foldable screen.
Handheld gaming devices have gained a lot of traction recently, and Lenovo appears to be looking at a concept that goes further than just fitting in your hands.

Their idea is a device that folds out into a larger screen, giving you both a portable gaming console and a PC-style experience in one package.
Lenovo Legion Go Fold Concept
Based on leaked materials reported by WindowsLatest, the Legion Go Fold Concept will feature an 11.6-inch foldable display built around a flexible pOLED panel.
The screen starts at 7.7 inches when folded and expands to the full 11.6 inches when open, drawing clear inspiration from the foldable smartphone designs we have seen in recent years.
Lenovo is expected to show this concept at the major tech event in Barcelona. The form factor opens up several ways to use the device depending on what you need at the time.
In Standard Handheld Mode, the device stays folded and looks like a traditional handheld gaming console with detachable controllers on both sides.

In Vertical Split-Screen Mode, you unfold the screen upright and split it between two tasks, so you can game on one half while streaming or handling something else on the other.
In Horizon Full Screen Mode, you unfold the display horizontally and attach the controllers, giving you a wide-screen handheld experience that competes with tablets in terms of screen size. In Expanded Desktop Mode, you pair the device with a wireless keyboard and use it as a laptop replacement.
Lenovo Legion Go Fold Specs
The Legion Go Fold Concept is not just about the display. According to the leak, the hardware inside is built for real on-the-go performance. The device runs on Intel’s Core Ultra 7 258V processor, likely paired with Xe2 integrated graphics, backed by 32GB of RAM and a 48Wh battery.

Battery life will be a challenge, as it is with most Windows handhelds. The larger screen will put more strain on the battery, but it also means you get a more immersive experience than what a standard handheld can offer.
What to Expect
A handheld that doubles as a desktop-style PC with a larger screen is a genuinely interesting idea. You get flexible ways to play without needing an external monitor or TV connection. The catch is that this is still a concept. A commercial release for something like this is likely at least a year or two away.
