Cyberpunk 2077 now runs on Android phones without cloud streaming or a PC handling the processing remotely. A recent ETA PRIME video shows the game running directly on phone hardware. This crosses into OS devices that used to require workarounds or weren’t possible at all.

The setup uses PC emulation layers called GameHub and WinLater. These translate x86 games so that ARM-based phone processors can run them. It’s becoming a method that others can replicate, not just a one-time demonstration.

ETA PRIME tested this on a Red Magic 11 Pro, which they describe as the most powerful Android phone they’ve worked with.

The phone uses a Snapdragon Elite 2 chip, referred to as Gen 5, with 16GB of RAM. It also includes active cooling through a built-in fan and liquid cooling system. These keep the phone stable when running demanding games that would normally overheat mobile hardware.

Settings for Cyberpunk 2077 Run Smoothly on Android

Running at 720p on low settings with FSR 2.1 set to balanced, Cyberpunk 2077 on Android will maintain just under 30 FPS. This baseline matters because it proves the game can run consistently before adding performance tricks.

By turning on FSR frame generation, the numbers jump noticeably. ETA PRIME recorded frame rates in the mid to high 40s. Movement and combat feel closer to what you’d expect from a handheld PC rather than a phone, pushing beyond its typical limits.

The tradeoff shows up in visual quality. The video points out ghosting and occasional stutters. These artifacts appear when frame generation and emulation layers work together. You’ll notice them if you pay attention, especially during fast camera movements or busy scenes.

Steam Deck Level Preset

ETA PRIME also tested a Steam Deck preset, which uses higher settings that match what the handheld typically targets. The Red Magic 11 Pro averaged around 30 FPS with this configuration, then jumped back into the 40s after turning on frame generation.

The performance is notable, but it’s not universal. This outcome requires a high-end phone with strong cooling and carefully tuned settings. Devices with weaker specs or less thermal management will throttle quickly and struggle to maintain playable frame rates.

The next improvements won’t grab headlines. Look for better frame pacing, fewer visual glitches, and more games that run without constant troubleshooting.

Right now, Cyberpunk 2077 works on Android under specific configurations. If you want the performance ETA PRIME demonstrated, you need a flagship phone with active cooling. Lower-spec devices won’t deliver the same experience, and you’ll spend more time adjusting settings than playing the game.
