After showing its latest home power backup products at CES last week, Anker officially launched the Solix E10. The company calls it the “world’s first smart hybrid whole-home backup system.”

The Solix E10 combines a smart fuel generator, battery storage, and solar input with automatic and manual switching options to provide unlimited backup capability.

A single Solix E10 unit delivers up to 37.2kW of power. That’s enough to start high-power appliances like a 5-ton air conditioner, which needs a massive surge of electricity when the compressor kicks on. Most backup systems struggle with these startup demands.

You can connect up to three additional units to reach 90kWh of total storage. This expanded capacity gives you deeper power reserves during extended outages.

A single unit might keep essential systems running for hours. Four units could power your entire home for days, depending on usage.

The Power Dock includes a 20ms automatic transfer switch that transitions to backup power almost instantly. This speed prevents damage to sensitive electronics and keeps appliances running without interruption.

Your refrigerator, computers, medical equipment, and other devices never experience a power gap long enough to cause problems.

If you want to save money, you can pair the Solix E10 with a Smart Inlet Box instead of the Power Dock. This setup costs less upfront but requires manual switching during outages.

When the power goes out, you need to physically flip the switch yourself to activate backup power. That takes more effort and means a brief gap before backup power flows, but it significantly reduces the system cost.

The Solix E10 supports 9kW of solar input per unit. When you combine three units, the total solar capacity jumps to 27kW.

Anker claims compatibility with all solar panel types, including rigid rooftop panels, portable folding panels, and third-party AC solar systems. So, you’re not locked into buying Anker’s solar equipment.

You can also charge the battery directly from the smart generator using a DC connection. This method extends the backup duration by up to 5 times that of traditional AC generators. DC charging is more efficient because it avoids the energy conversion losses of AC charging.

Sales begin February 4, But Pre-orders start Now

You can pre-order the Solix E10 from Anker’s website starting today. General availability begins February 4. The base system includes an inverter and battery for $4,299. Add the Smart Inlet Box, and the price rises to $4,599.

The Solix E10 with Power Dock combo costs $5,799. The top configuration that adds the Smart Generator runs $7,399. All versions include a standard 5-year warranty. Pre-order customers get an extra 3-year warranty extension, bringing total coverage to 8 years.

Early buyers receive a $500 coupon and a gift pack worth over $1,500. The gift pack includes a 400W solar panel. You only need to put down a $10 deposit to secure the pre-order pricing and bonuses.

These prices put the Solix E10 in the premium home backup category. You’re paying for the hybrid capability that combines battery, generator, and solar inputs into a single integrated system.

Competing whole-home backup solutions often require separate purchases of batteries, generators, and transfer switches that don’t communicate with each other.
